Our Health Philosophy: Drug-free Treatment

mature-couple-looking-at-eachotherMore than 70% of the health problems in America are preventable which include obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.  Some diseases are even reversible.

To improve our health as a nation, it is important that we understand that just because we are not sick or not in pain, does NOT mean that we are healthy.  I understand that while most patients are motivated to seek treatment due to pain, simply eliminating your pain is only the first step to lasting relief and better health. Our emphasis must shift away from an “illness” model to a “wellness” approach. You shouldn’t wait until you have a toothache to see the dentist.  Why wait until you have back pain to see the chiropractor? I will help you take control of your health and show you how to feel your best every day. From helping you break the cycle of pain to showing you self-care secrets that stop pain from returning, I will take the time to listen to your concerns and teach you how to maintain your health.

Many spinal problems seen in adults began in childhood. It is unfortunate that only a small percentage of America’s youth get an opportunity to experience chiropractic and the role it plays in the promotion of health.  Proper spinal care is an important key to better health. Having 5 children of my own, I have seen the miracles of good chiropractic care.  That is why at Bedford County Chiropractic, I have a special interest in serving families and children. If you have children and wonder if they might benefit from Chiropractic care, please call and ask.  Your children and grandchildren deserve the best chance to be healthy.

By every individual taking responsibility in maintaining one’s own health, we can improve the health of our families, communities, and nation.  Doesn’t it make more sense to prevent disease rather than maintaining our current and costly emphasis on treatment provided at the end stages of life?
